Leaving Market Cross at 7:30pm we have a short ride to a secret location to enjoy the full moon. You may want to bring something to sit on, drink, and nibble. There will be a small contained fire, so marshmallows and hot dogs could work.

Bracklesham Bay - Saturday 25 July 2026

The idea for this one is to ride the Salterns Way as far as possible to Bracklesham Bay for a bit of a picnic or BBQ if you have the gear. So bring something to eat and drink in your panniers. Alternatively, you can buy some take-away when you get there.

Within a few feet of the beach is a Kiosk, Cafe/Bar, and the Loo. A few yards further is the GOAT Coffee Shop. A little further is Little Monster Brewing, and a Co-op. All of which we ride past to get to the beach.

Google says it's 7.8 miles and 1hr 26mins to ride the Salterns Way route. So a nice slow ride thru the countryside.

Top tip: I have a chair like this, it packs down to about 12x5x5 inches, very comfortable and light. I use it all the time. So if you don't want to sit on shingle this may be for you.

The Bracklesham Bay ride was glorious. We rode a loop down Salterns Way to Bracklesham, then from Bracklesham a little East and up thru the Bird Sanctuary back to Chi by about 7pm. Longest, slowest ride I ever went on. Best one too.

ELO Music Ride - Friday 04 September 2026

Hot on the heels of previous Music Rides (Led Zep, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd) we have the Electric Light Orchestra edition. If you have a speaker for your bike please bring it. You don't need a speaker to enjoy the ride around town listening to the tunes, just follow someone that does! 

The albums to bring are A New World Record and Secret Messages. 

When the music stops we will be at the Theatre picnic tables where we can pause for a while, maybe have a drink. I carry my own adult beverages. If you don't, the Theatre Bar is usually open.
