All year this tree delights me. The evening light makes it very yellow, the morning light more pale green.

The ever patient wife and I went on an evening ride to reconnoiter a potential spot for a Full Moon ride destination. We have to be able to safely have a wee fire and see the moon. This exact spot only ticked one box. Even tho, we had our supper and a fizzy drink before heading home. Nice spot.
If you've never cooked bacon like this you must rush out and do it immediately.
Takes a little while but the smell is amazing. Combine that with the aroma you get off your cup of fresh ground cup coffee, and the wood smoke. Well, it's a sublime experience only Alan Shore can articulate. Simple pleasures, eh! This was the third image taken teaching my little buddy photography. We took cuttings from the garden and taped them to a strips of cereal box card to make the foliage stay upright and still. Then I placed Kenny inside for that Trooper in the jungle look.
This image was the second one I made while teaching my little buddy photography. Using props. In this case tomato ketchup.
I bought this little chap to teach my friends little chap photography. The little chap above is called Kenny, my friend little chap is called Josh.
Josh was perhaps seven at the time, so we needed to be able to learn in the house and garden. Josh was a Star Wars nut, so I picked up his Stormtrooper and started to teach him Macro mode on his camera. And it spiralled from there. Josh lost interest after a few weeks, as little kids do, but I got my own 'trooper' an, on-and-off for the last 15+ years I've been taking pictures of him. This is where he lives, in a wee tin branded Heinz. |
AuthorThis is my playground. So it's always 'work in progress'. I like to create all sorts that doesn't fit into one 'niche'! Mainly cartoon robots, bicycle culture and other 'bits' that occur to me like coffee, cooking on a camp stove and stormtroopers. ArchivesCategories |
